Emergency First Response Primary Care (CPR) teaches participants how to respond to life-threatening emergencies. This first aid training course focuses on primary care through a combination of knowledge development, skills development and realistic scenario practice to make sure participants have the confidence in their ability to provide first aid when emergency situations arise. Primary Care (CPR) first aid skills taught in this course includes:
The Emergency First Response Automated External Defibrillation (AED) training builds on the skills learned in the Primary Care (CPR) course to teach the proper AED use. This life saving device can increase a patient's chance of survival from a cardiac arrest by fifty percent. During this course you'll review the basic principles of Primary Care (CPR) and learn how to deploy and use an AED in an emergency situation.
NOTE: The AED training course can be presented separately for participants who already hold a CPR qualification from another first aid training institute.
The course is usually run over two consecutive days of approximately 8 hours each or, alternatively, over four evening lectures of 4 hours each. For group bookings the course structure can be tailored to suit your requirements.
The course is open to anyone over the age of 14; no prior first aid training is required.
Participants receive the latest, updated EFR Textbook - arguably the best first aid training text book available! Practical tests are conducted throughout the duration of the course and a final written exam completes student assessment.
On successful completion students receive an internationally accepted EFR Responder Identification Card - credit card size - which is valid for a period of two years. After the two years students can renew their first aid training qualification by attending an EFR Refresher course without having to re-do the entire course.
