Emergency First Response Secondary Care (first aid training) covers injuries or illnesses that are not immediately life threatening. Participants focus on secondary patient assessment and first aid through knowledge development, skills development and realistic scenario practice.
The course is usually run over one day of approximately 8 hours or, alternatively, over two evening lectures of 4 hours each. For group bookings the course structure can be tailored to suit your first aid training requirements.
Participants should hold a valid EFR Primary Care qualification or an excepted CPR qualification from another accredited first aid training provider.
The course is open to anyone over the age of 14.
Participants receive the latest, updated EFR Textbook - arguably the best first aid course manual available! Practical tests are conducted throughout the duration of the course and a final written exam completes student assessment.
On successful completion students receive an internationally accepted EFR Responder Identification Card - credit card size - which is valid for a period of two years. After the two years students can renew their first aid training qualification by attending an EFR Refresher course without having to re-do the entire course.
